Snowbird Octoberfest

Matt and the kids went up to Snowbird to pick up their season passes and had fun walking around the last days of Octoberfest.

Looking cool with their hoods up.

Savannah loved looking at all the jewelry booths and kept asking for Daddy to buy her something.

Leaves, Pumpkins and Parties

I think Fall is Zach's favorite time of year. He loves to rake the leaves. He went and got the rake and raked a huge pile before we knew it.

Savannah loves to dress up. She found my old ballet costume and had to try it on have me take a picture.

I have found that painting pumkins is much easier and fun than carving. Plus I don't have to clean out the pumkin and everyone is much happier.

Painting pumkins with Dylan watching over their shoulders.

We had a great time at the Flores Halloween party. Zach and his best friend Stone dressed up as Starwars characters. Dylan is supposed to Yoda but has a hatred for anything put on his head. So he is just a Jedi.

Fall Hiking

We took advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend and went for a family hike. It was absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have asked for better weather. It was just the perfect temperature.

Here we are all together at the beginning of the hike. I lagged behind because I was carrying Dylan which weighs about 30 lbs. I thought I would be able to do it easily since I have started bootcamp and had to wear a 30 lb. vest for the first week while exercising.

Taking a rest.

Zach always has to be in the lead.

Posing for a picture on the bridge. Savy with her head tilted to one side is her favorite pose.

Zach and Savannah loved throwing rocks in to the water. They also found a ton of Lady bugs along the way. They were huge ones. Dylan didn't like them too much. He is terrified of bugs.

Indivisible

After church on Sunday Savannah and I were coloring. She starts asking me, "Why is Heavenly Father invisible?" So to get more information about where she was coming from I ask her about what she talked about in her Primary class. She says sharing. Then she says, "Mom, I am talking about the Pledge of Allegiance - One nation under God - INVISIBLE." I couldn't help but laugh. She comes up with the funniest things!

Who did it?

Funny story that happened last week. Savannah and I were standing in line at the grocery store getting ready to swipe the credit card when someone (Savannah) lets out this huge butt jiggling fart. It didn't sound like something that would come out of a little girl. I look at her and say, "Savannah, what was that?" At this point I don't think that the cashier believes it came from this sweet little girl. I am totally embarassed thinking the cashier thinks it was me. Then Savannah says to me, "What else am I supposed to do?" I always that is was the parent that embarasses the child not the other way around. Savannah, I love you but you are the Princess of gross!

Snowbird 2009

This weekend our family went up to Snowbird for a little vacation. We took the kids on the alpine slide and they loved it. Savannah was a little scared at first but it ended up being her favorite part of the trip. Zach loved it because he was the fastest everytime. Zach always has to win. He is very competitive.

Here is Zach at the Cliff Lodge looking down from the 8th floor.
A view of the Cliff lodge from the line for the alpine slide. Me, Savy and Dylan went swimming while Matt and Zach went on the alpine slide another time.

Going over the bridge to jump on the big bounce house. I can't tell you how hot it was. We were all totally sweaty!! Hiking up the mountain to get back to the hotel just about did me in. Let me tell you, they do not make it stroller friendly.

Zach is in the lead!!

Savannah at the swimming pool. She loved jumping in, chasing the squirrel and the little blue bird.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!! We started the day bright and early at 6:15. I had to run across the street to get a nice spot in the shade for the 4th of July. Could you believe there were already chairs set out. I thought I would be the 1st!! Is is wrong to move somebody's chairs. Can you believe I did that. I just moved them over a foot or two so we could be in the shade too. But it turned out to be the perfect temperature. It was kind of overcast so we were comfortable. The kids had fun watching the parade.

They would wave at all the people throwing candy hoping they would get more if they did that!! About 3/4 of the way through Savannah says to me, "I need to rest my arm is getting tired."

We had to make a rule this year that we would not eat any of the candy until we got home. Last year Savannah downed most of hers before the parade was over. I didn't think they would do it but they had some willpower!!

Waiting for the parade to start.
After the parade we just rested and got some housework done so we could go to a BBQ with friends and neighbors. We had a great time! Stan and Cami have a backyard full of animals that the kids just loved. They even got a free pony ride. Zach and Savannah loved it.

Zach posing for a picture.

Savannah is squealing with excitement!

Savannah with her best friend climbing on the rock!

Dylan is trying to play catch with the goat. I don't think the goat was too happy!
